When looking at the best wealth options, Internet has to be embraced with. However, use of email broadcasts has lost its luster. This is because our society is too full of the sell, sell again and sell more mentality without sufficient consideration to values that they themselves hold, their product or service offers, and definitely not enough for what the buyer really wants. They do not want to take enough time to understand the client. They are using the so called shot gun approach or carpet bombing, by just bombarding their infinite “opt-in” lists with emails, day in and day out, hoping that the law of numbers would one day generate enough to buy them a lunch or two. What an incredible waste of such a useful resource.
These days ViralURL.com has begun sending emails indiscriminately to those who may have opted in during past years. Just watch out. It is good that they honor Unsubscribe – use it.
Those in the know are turning more and more to use of social media. They understand that people do not like to be sold; they would rather buy when ready. Buyers want the information in a form that would make sense and be left to themselves to buy. Amazon is perhaps the best example of it.
Of course, not everyone can evolve into a next Amazon like success. It took them time, money, and above all a relentless pursuit. Yet, a prudent use of Social Media is the way to go for people who know their values and are conscious about a responsible use of the media. First and foremost has to be to add only what is relevant; no hype. Join only those social media vehicles that have a potential of taking you in the direction you want to go. Join only those groups that share your cause and values, and where you express yourself to serve others; money will come.
Certain highly effective social media devices such as Twitter work best for monetization if you have website to link to, because the tweets have to be only 140 characters or less. And, a website must have traffic through it for it to make a difference. With traffic you will be able to attract advertisements of other people, in addition to offering values that you may bring to your visitors.
The Internet Guru’s have boasting millions in take, and promising over night successes. Their approach of spraying huge and tantalizing ‘copies’, that nobody reads, designed mostly to tire the viewers out so that the they drop their defenses and click on the trial offers, with a hope that they will evaluate the seemingly deal of a life time at a later date. Then, we know what happens to most of us.
This is not to say that the Guru’s have no value in what they offer. They do and we need to watch out for few things, such as follows:
- Know why you want to get involved with a particular offer. Document your reasons, along with a action schedule so that you do not get stuck anything that does not fit in with your plans. Note that once the warranty period is over, even by a few hours, you have said your money goo buy and contributed to a Guru’s success.
- Invariably the Guru offers do not include a phone support. There help service is almost entirely via their knowledge base, that may not have what exactly you want, or via videos and emails. I do not recommend getting involved with anyone without a phone support.
- Tryout the email support as early as possible. If the support is not to the point more than twice in a row, drop them because they may be just marking time until you stop bothering them.
- Don’t be under the illusion that just because a Guru has made millions doing something, it will also work for you. It may not suit your inner self or your setup or simply the times have changed faster than anybody thought before.
Above all understand that no one person understands social media, at least well enough in a way that is required to help you receive exactly what you want. This has to be a trial and error approach that must remain proactive and adapt to the rapidly changing needs in today’s society.
While any one can get lucky, most of us have to be prepared to work hard or have plenty of good judgment, money & patience to find and utilize the right help.

Social Media Monetization is and always will be the wave for personal, small business, and corporate branding.
Social media is the most public example of successful social media monetization, with social developers selling online products directly to the online consumer. Companies like Burger King, Blue Cross, Playfish, Zappos, Starbucks, Sun Micro Systems, and hundreds of others are completely re-writing their marketing strategy for online social media optimization and monetization success.
It’s hard to argue that social media isn’t the future for revenue and passive income and developers and publishers should focus all their efforts here. That said, over the long haul I absolutely believe brand advertising will lead social media monetization, and companies not investing in working with brand advertisers today will miss the biggest opportunity within social media for the future.
To believe it, you have to assume two things. First, that social media will comprise the vast majority of total online engagement over the next 5-10 years, and become the initial point of entry for a major portion of online activity. Social media networks like Facebook, MySpace and Twitter are material sources of traffic for publishers, with Facebook the top traffic driver for sites such as PerezHilton, CafeMom and EVite. Facebook Connect and Friend Connect have been adopted by more than 15,000 sites, and there’s no reason why every site looking to drive substantial and meaningful free traffic through social awareness wouldn’t adopt these services as well. Doing so enables social media across the entire web.
Second, the vast volume of brand advertising spent on non-online media (TV, radio and print) will finally be realized online. The recession has dramatically accelerated the drop in spending to non-online media in comparison to online. With more than $300B in U.S. advertising spent alone, at $28B in the U.S., online marketing is only 9% of the total. At just 15% of the market, online spending could quickly increase to $45B over the course of the next five years, much of that driven by the transition of brand advertising from offline advertising to online advertising.
As social media continues on with its exponential growth, it’s not difficult to assume social media advertising will comprise a material portion of that $45B, much of it driven by brand marketing based on the aforementioned offline transition. Compare that to the nearly 40% of online spending focused on search marketing today, with the increasing use of social media as a top traffic driver for sites and blogs.
Simply put, brand marketing has a high probability and deserves real focus from networkers, developers and publishers given it’s true potential within social media.

Yet, it never ceases to amaze me that just about everyone in the industrialized world has been chasing the seemingly the best wealth options without being even half way certain of what is really best for them.
As a matter of fact, not many think they have time to ponder what kind of wealth is best for them, why so, and what are their best wealth options? While being resourceful, I agree that these are loaded questions and one’s unique answers are non-trivial. There is spiritual side to these questions as well.
